About us
Le Club was created in 2014 and its meetings take place in The Hague, a city that has become "the legal Capital of the World". The aim of Le Club is to provide an informal forum for discussions for the benefit of diplomats responsible for the legal affairs of their Embassies represented in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and legal advisors of international institutions and organizations. It also aims to promote an understanding of international law through active and dynamic meetings among The Hague’s legal community.
The meetings of Le Club are held in the form of periodical lectures on general or specific subjects related to public or private international law. Le Club convenes experts, practitioners and senior officials to facilitate the sharing of knowledge. It is also designed to be a forum of networking opportunities. It allows the strengthening of relations between the legal community and the world's foremost international law professionals and academics.
Meetings of Le Club are held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed. Participant of the meetings speak as individuals, and their views may not be those of their organizations or governments.
